Hi Matt,

Just so you know I have some experience in this before I start rambling, while my work around real estate has only been the last few years, the bulk of my career has been technology and the associated business and marketing processes.  Our technology firm has even picked up some international recognition for our marketing efforts by Microsoft.  My "other" firm is Forte' Inc (www.ForteOnline.com).  That said.....

Here is the advice we give our clients on these types of things.  And you are welcome to disagree and ignore all of it!

Getting visitors to your door, your phone or your website is really good old-fashioned marketing.  Some folks focus on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but we have never been a big fan.  While it won't hurt, the best traffic is from an integrated marketing plan.

All printed material should have your website on it.  Business Cards, Brochures, Info Sheets, etc.

Next, add a reason for people to come to your site.  Not sure what that may be for your target audience but it helps to have things that get people to come back or refer others.  Can it also be the best source for community news?  Follow a local sports team?  Something else?  I've put pictures of little league teams on a "sister site" with links back to my business site and it drove traffic.

Maybe tips about buying and selling specific to your market.  Tips for investing unique to your market.

No one wants to come to your site without a real reason and value.  It may look great but will it be remembered by the target audience when the are ready to buy or sell?

Next, I'd hide the page counters to look more professional.  You can use google analytics for free and it will break down your site traffic in so many ways you'll have to figure out which metrics you want to track.  BUT... once you pick some items, you can then change your site month to month and measure what worked and what didn't!

Be Interesting.  Not just interesting to you and your friends and family.  They will all (or most all) tell you how great the site looks.   But they are NOT your target audience (I assume).   Think like a stranger or even better, ask some strangers about what they like or dislike and would they seek out this site.

There is likely much more we could cover but I know so little about you and your target audience but I hope this is a good start.  Best of luck!  Glenn

Matt, Your site does not display properly in the Firefox browser which 20% of internet users are  using over IE.
I love the photo montage . Did you do that yourself??

Hi Matt - really sharp, looks good, but you need to run your text through the spell checker - I caught some typos (example: piece  (peace) of mind, recieve  receive, veteran's   veterans. Hey, maybe some school teachers will be looking at your site, who knows! Gosh, I hope this doesn't offend you but I'm really a good proofreader and stuff just jumps out at me.  Best of Luck Matt!
