HELLO FRIENDS AND FELLOW ACTIVE RAIN AGENTS....
Today is a day of mourning. I got up this morning and read the newspapers from 9/12/01 and began to cry. I am a member of the United States Navy Reserve that has have friends and family that have been deployed to Iraq. This day is always an emotional day for me and many people I know.
Can you believe the most significant day in our Countries history is only really talked about once a year!
As we listen to the radio and hear the 911 calls from that horrific day reminds us of all who lost there lives.
I don't know what to write on this blog becasue so many emotions are running through me. I will write something and then erase it because my mind will go somewhere else.
I wish everyone who knew someone who died 7 years ago the best and I am very sorry for your loss and God Bless.
For all the Hero's who lost there life fighting the war against terror, God Bless You.
Please take a moment to remember 9/11/01

Matt,
If you have a flag pole, this is a good day to fly your flag to remind all your neighbors.
Let us never forget how it felt on this day! I to am a little sad! God Bless and Take care!
AMEN! Please fly the flag proudly and keep the lights on it.
Matt~ I remember how horrible my heart and stomach felt that very day I saw it happening on TV. I can't believe it was seven years ago already....
That day is what made me join our United States Navy. If I can do just one thing to make sure that something liek this never happens again, my invested time and energy is well worth it.
Matt - We all lost too much that day! I will never forget those images or those people who lost their lives. I worked in the Financial Services field then and I will never forget the deafening sound of silence when we were told to leave work. The silence from no planes flying above was a rude awakening. I hope we bring those responsible to justice soon.
Matt, I also remember everyone's pain. I guess nobody ever talks about it b/c it hurts too bad.
Matt,
You are so right, we should speak of this day more often so we never forget. I know I think of the soldiers each and everyday fighting for our freedom. My best friends son just left for Iraq. We are sure praying hard for him and all the others. Thanks for bringing this up. Too many people need to be reminded.
Regards,
Lori Isaacson
Matt, Some folks talk about and think about it a lot more than once a year. It's only the media that recognizes it once a year and yes it still hurts all of us.
Lori - God Speed to your friends son. I know that can be tough.
Patricia - Your right, much of our military are thinking about this daily. Thank you for that.
I agree that this moment should be remembered more often than "once a year". It was a pivotal event, and all of us are affected and in debt to those who perished, and all of those acts of bravery and kindness, that day, need to be spoken of.
I know, I know - tears have been swelling in my eyes all day. At different time throughout the year, an image or mention of that day brings those same emotions - it's hard to watch, it's hard to think about, it was hard to imagine until it happened that day!
Everyday we think of the heroes who have gone to war to protect OUR freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan. 9/11 will NEVER be forgotten.
